Glenn E. Kimble Sr.'s Obituary
Glenn E. Kimble, Sr., 81, of Alexandria, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side.
Glenn was incredibly patriotic. He was proud to have served his country as a Navy veteran and retired after a long career as a federal government employee. He also served God as a dedicated missionary. Glenn was “Dad” to many and “Granno” to many more. He never had a bad word to say about anyone, and made strangers feel like they were a part of his family. He made a positive impact on everyone that entered his life. Later in his life, Glenn drove an ambulance for LifeCare and volunteered with Chancellor Fire and Rescue. Throughout his life, Glenn was a family man first.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Alice, four children, Debbie Blevins, Glenn Kimble, Jr., and his wife, Nancy, Terrie Creed, and Bob Kimble, five grandchildren, Glenn Kimble III, Scott Kimble, Stephanie Creed, Rob Kimble and his wife, Amber, and Branden Kimble, two great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Aleah Kimble, a brother, Howard Kimble, and his wife, Doris, numerous nieces, nephews and other loving extended family.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Leon and Leroy Kimble, and a son-in-law, Eddie Blevins.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, where a funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery.
