Glenda Ann Jones' Obituary
Glenda Ann Jones, 50, of Culpeper died Monday, May 14, 2007 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. She was born November 12, 1956 in Fauquier County to Donald Edward Jones and Mary Catherine Carder Jones.
She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She loved animals especially her bird “Goldie” and taking care of her aquarium.
In addition to her parents, Glenda is survived by two brothers, Carl Edward Jones and James Russell Jones, a niece, Laura O. Jones all of Fauquier, VA, and her maternal grandfather, James Carder of Culpeper, and numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mary Ellen Carder, and paternal grandparents, Russell R. Jones and Elizabeth Suder Jones.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 17, 2007 for a hymn singing and brief visitation at 7 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church, 8233 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2007 at 11 a.m. at New Salem Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Whaley and Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
Interment will follow in the New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Glenda’s name to the New Salem Baptist Church, 8233 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701 &/or Salem Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 1254, Culpeper, VA 22701 &/or Culpeper Rescue Squad, 1121 N Main St. Culpeper, VA 22701.
