Glen Wilbert Eaton's Obituary
Glen Wilbert Eaton, 98, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Woodmont Healthcare Center in Fredericksburg.
Mr. Eaton loved taking care of his yard, being outside, cars, NASCAR races and going to McDonald’s. He was a retired electrician for Riddleberger Brothers of Harrisonburg.
Glen was born June 23, 1917, in Broadway, and was a son of the late Casper W. and Annie E. (Dove) Eaton.
In November 1992, he married Shirley Cohoon, who preceded him in death on Aug. 23, 2014. Mr. Eaton was also preceded in death by a son, Boyd Lee Eaton; three brothers, Claude Eaton, John Eaton and Forest Eaton; and two sisters, Mae Eaton and Pearl Rollins.
Surviving family members include two daughters, Patricia Webster and husband Dennie of Lake Anna, and Joy Harper and husband Jack of Harrisonburg; one sister, Frances Ritchie of Harrisonburg; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 10, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels–Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A graveside service will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Glen’s family requests that donations be made in his name to one’s favorite charity.
