Gladys Mae Lumb's Obituary
Gladys Mae Lumb, 93, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Gladys loved music, square dancing, and traveling.
Gladys is survived by two sons, Michael Lumb, of Spotsylvania County and David Wayne Lumb and his partner, Terry Kirby of Fredericksburg, and Karen Lumb; brother, Wilfred Peterson; three grandchildren, Shana Chance (Nicholas) of Spotsylvania, Zachary Lumb of Fredericksburg, and Amanda Lumb of Nokesville; great grandson, Eli Chance; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of close family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; and seven siblings.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2022 in Quantico National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the SPCA of Fredericksburg, 10819 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
