Gladys Lee Crider's Obituary
Gladys Lee Crider, 91, formerly of Gainesville, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at her home in Rapidan. She was born February 22, 1934, in Fairfax, VA, to the late Joe and Georgia Kidwell.
Gladys was a strong Christian, and church was very important to her. She also loved working with children. Gladys cherished her time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her three children, Sherry Hoverter, Terry Tinsley (Bruce), and Guy A. Crider, II (Sheri); six grandchildren, Shannon Sneed, Michele Collyer, Kim Henry, Tiffany Riley, Guy Crider, III, and Darla Mitchell; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great, great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Gladys is preceded in death by her husband, Guy A. Crider; sons-in-law, Dean Hoverter and David Shifflett; and her siblings.
A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Stonewall Memory Gardens, 12004 Lee Hwy, Manassas, VA 20109, with Pastor Ron Young officiating.
The family will receive friends for a time of fellowship following the graveside at Alum Spring Baptist Church, 11058 Dutch Hollow Road, Culpeper, VA.
