Gertrude Ida Taylor's Obituary
Gertrude Ida Taylor, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Mountain View Nursing Home in Aroda, VA. She was born July 15, 1939, to the late Alfred and Sarah Dale.
Gertrude has two children, Grover Cleveland Taylor and Joan Marie Taylor Frazier.
She is survived by her brother, Herbert Dale; sister, Frances Vacquez; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harvey Dale, and sister-in-law, Leda Dale.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many caregivers, nurses, and assistants who provided compassionate care, comfort, and support. Your kindness, patience, and dedication brought strength and peace during a difficult time, and your love and selfless service will never be forgotten. The family is deeply grateful for the dignity and compassion you showed every step of the way.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Holly Memorial Gardens, 3251 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA.
