Gertrude S. Fincham's Obituary
Gertrude S. Fincham, 85, of Rixeyville died Sunday, November 25, 2012 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
Gertrude was born on August 11, 1927 to the late Thomas Henry Stanley and the late Rosa Jane Dodson Stanley in Orange County, Virginia.
Gertrude was a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family who she loved and enjoyed spending time with.
Gertrude is survived by two children; her son, Harry Fincham, Jr. and his wife Kim, her daughter, Linda Cubbage and her husband Donnie all of Rixeyville. Four grandchildren; Michael Williams, Jennifer Johnson and her husband Robert “Champ”, Tony Abeijon and his wife Angela and Jorge Gonzalez, also three great-grand children; Bryce Johnson, Briana and Kaleigh Abeijon.
She is also survived by three brothers; Sam, Henry and Charlie Stanley and three sisters; Stella Collier, Barbara Tharp and Shirley Knighting, in addition to many other friends and loved ones.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Harry W. Fincham, Sr. in 2005, one daughter, Debora Abeijon, two sisters; Daisy Bailey and Pearl Juiffre and one brother, Luther “Bully” Stanley.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral Service will be held at 11am on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with her brother, Pastor Henry Stanley officiating
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memory Gardens where she will join her husband.
The family will be serving as Pallbearers.
