Geraldine Chaffee's Obituary
Geraldine E. Vanslette Chaffee, 70, of Sperryville, was sent to Heaven on March 16, 2011. She was born October 19, 1940 in Highgate Springs, VT to the late Leonard Joseph Vanslette and Ruth Wilson Vanslette.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Mervyn Gale Chaffee, one brother, Everett Vanslette and his wife, Sandra, two sons, Jay Chaffee and Martin Chaffee, two daughters, April Grigsby and her husband, Charles, Penny Dodson and her boyfriend, Bobby Hamm, and a son-in-law, Russell Dodson.
Additional survivors include her grandchildren, Amy and Brian Dodson, Stephanie and W.L. Cash, Richard and Lori Dodson, and Dakota Chaffee, great grandchildren, Shawn, Megan, Lee, Devin, Gary, and Jessica and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary J. Vanslette.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Rev. Jon Heddleston officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery.
