Gerald Lorain Reeder's Obituary
Gerald Lorain Reeder, age 95, son of Gay Lester and Opal Reeder, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at NOVANT Health UVA Health System Culpeper Medical Center.
Gerald was a WWII veteran and an employee with RF&P Railroad for many years. He retired from RF&P Railroad in the early 1980’s.
He is survived by two daughters, Vickie Bradford and her husband, Charles of Woodbridge, VA, and Carolyn Thomas and her husband, Paul of Woodbridge, VA; his adopted daughter, Stacy Decker and her husband, Eugene of Bristow, VA; and one brother, Wayne Reeder and his wife, Pauline of Spokane, WA. He is also survived by five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He was beloved by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Irene F. Reeder; and his youngest daughter, Patricia “Patty” K. Callahan.
The family will hold a graveside inurnment on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by Culpeper VFW Post 2524.
