Gerald Clark "Jerry" Foster's Obituary
Gerald ‘Jerry’ Clark Foster, 68, of Culpeper, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at his residence. He was born on August 18, 1957, to the late Robert Foster and Ruth Minard Foster in New York.
Jerry grew up in New York before eventually making Virginia his home. He was known for his steady nature, kind heart, and selfless devotion to his family. He believed deeply in the importance of always doing the right thing. He found joy in the outdoors and took great pride in caring for his home and the people he loved. In quieter moments, you could often find him enjoying a nap in his favorite spot on the couch with the sounds of golf or baseball playing softly on the television nearby.
Jerry is survived by his children, Brian Foster and his wife, Melissa Foster, and Abigail Baet and her husband, Uriah Baet; his beloved grandchildren, Jacob Foster and Lily Foster; his siblings, Sherry Scully and her husband, Pat, Robert Foster and his wife, Patricia, and Bill Foster and his wife, Tammy; and a large circle of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ellen Teresa Foster.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jerry’s name to the National Park Services at https://www.nps.gov/getinvolved/donate.htm to help preserve the natural resources and values of the National Park System for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations.
