George Canon Wallace Jr.'s Obituary
On Saturday, December 8, 2012, George Canon Wallace, Jr., 56, of Spotsylvania County responded to the Lord’s call to enter into eternal rest. George, affectionately known as “Junior” or “Red,” was a loving and kind man who impacted everyone he met in a special way. A proud native of Culpeper, George cherished his hometown and returned as often as he could to visit family and friends.
George was preceded in death by his father, Mr. George C. Wallace, Sr. and grandparents.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his mother, Mrs. Marion Wallace of Alexandria, VA; his siblings, Melvin Johnson, Arlene Wallace, Lillian Wallace, Wanda Stephens, Deborah Crawford, and Belinda Wallace; two brother-in-laws, Joseph Stephens and Ricky A. Crawford I; two aunts, Rev. Dr. Arlene Gordon and Mrs. Jane Gordon; one uncle, Mr. Clarence F. Wallace; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services celebrating George’s life will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Rev. Otis L. Kay, Sr. officiating and Rev. Duane T. Fields, Sr. delivering the eulogy. A public viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. the day of the service. Burial will be immediately following the service at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Woodville.
