George "Moe" William Golden's Obituary
George “Moe” William Golden, 79, of Culpeper, VA passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Dogwood Village of Orange County. He was born May 1, 1943 to the late George Patrick Golden and Doris Pauline Golden In Washington D.C.
Moe enjoyed a lifelong career in the heating and air-conditioning business. Moe was blessed with many friends at Culpeper FOE, Fredericksburg Moose Lodge # 1655, and Fredericksburg FOE 4123. No matter where Moe was, he always found his way to the dance floor to dance the night away. He even tried his hand at karaoke, and we all know he made up the words as he went.
Moe is survived by his brother, John Golden of Dayton Ohio; sister, Rae Maria Dulakis; nephews, Robert Chip Pratt (Penny Reynolds) of Vandalia, Ohio, and James, Matt Golden of Dayton, Ohio; nieces, Cyndi Keeth (Jerry) of League City, Texas, and Heather Nicole Hammond of Columbus, Ohio; and his lifetime friend, Jimmy Cox (Sherry) of Germantown Maryland. Moe also lives behind his extended family; Dwayne Parton (Carrie) of Manassas, Virginia.
In addition to his parents, Moe is preceded in death by his brothers, Frances Xavier, and Bernard Matthew; his sisters, Patricia Shepherd, and Mary McLain; and his lifetime partner, Columbia Jean Parton.
Moe lived life on his terms, enjoying every minute along the way.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the start of the service.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
