George Edward Jensen Jr.'s Obituary
George Edward Jensen, Jr., 83, of Clover, Virginia has gone home to be with his Lord Monday, August 30, 2010.
Dad was a long standing member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church and a native of Fredericksburg. He was born in 1926 and enjoyed his family and friends. He was a proud Navy World War II veteran and a retiree from the D.C. Department of Corrections in Lorton.
He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather and we all were truly blessed to have him in our lives.
Dad was preceded in death by the mother of his children, his wife of 43 years, Ann Jensen and his mother, Marion Layton Rhine.
He is survived by three daughters, Debbie Jensen of Spotsylvania County, Donna Randall of Clover and Diane Hoppe of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
George’s family will receive friends Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 3, 2010 at 9:00 am in Mt. Ararat Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dick Harmon officiating.
