George Ramon Iliff Jr.'s Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of George Ramon Gilbert Iliff, Jr., on Sunday, March 9, 2025. He was affectionately known as "Manny" or “Ray” by family and friends. Manny was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend who lived a life that was simple yet deeply meaningful to those who knew him well.
He was born on June 19, 1958, in Virginia, Manny was the eldest of five siblings. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he contributed to his country with dedication and honor. Known for his quiet and private nature, Manny lived life on his own terms, enjoying the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. Manny had a deep, quiet presence that spoke volumes to his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Ramon Gilbert Iliff, Sr., and Shirley Ann Marrs Iliff; as well as his brothers, Carl James Iliff and Kurt Christopher Iliff.
He leaves behind his surviving siblings, Robin Iliff-Perrin and Belinda McCarter, along with their families; including his beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his immediate family, Manny was blessed with a second family—the Glen family—who embraced him as one of their own. Their love and friendship brought him great joy, and they will forever cherish the bond they shared with him.
Manny found solace in nature, gardening, wildlife and simply appreciating the beauty of the world around him. His life is a reminder to us all of the importance of family and friends, strength, and the love that binds us together.
A memorial service to honor his life will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA 22172.
