George Robert Gibson's Obituary
George Robert Gibson, 94, of Culpeper died Monday, June 3, 2019 at his residence. He was born April 25, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Francis Charles and Mary Elizabeth Gibson.
George is survived by his wife of 72 years, Alice Sutton Gibson; four children, Richard Gibson (Carol), Bonnie Balderson (Paul), Cindy Sweeney, and V. Aaron Gibson (Carla); siblings, Edie Rossi and Claude Gibson; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Gibson, Frank Gibson, Albert Gibson, and Floyd Gibson.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 1 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Rev. Kyle Balderson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by Culpeper VFW Post 2524.
