Dear Jan and family...I happened to look up info on Facebook and found one of my best friend's obituary.. Buddy and I grew up as fun loving teenagers...I got to ride on the back of his Harley many times or in his dad's car...we double dated afew times..Buddy and Jan and me and Shirley Fearson.. Buddy and I went in the Air Force...he went to the islands and I went to California.. Saw him a few time after we got out of the service. I moved to Michigan and became a CEO of a insurance firm..Retired at 55. Jan, think of you 2 often..Memories. George wardrip

Dear Jan, Scott, Chris, and the Coulter family,

Sandy and I are sadden for your loss. Please accept our heartfelt condolences.

Buddy was a dear friend and a kind and thoughtful neighbor. We are honored and grateful that we were able to be part of his life and to share so many visits and lakeside conversations with him and with your family.

We will truly miss his sage advice, his keen wit, friendly smile, and his genuine friendship. More importantly, Buddy was a true patriot. In honor of his military service, we made a contribution to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Association.

Our deepest condolences to the Coulter Family. "Uncle" Buddy was a great neighbor and role model to all the creek kids. It was later in life when I came to appreciate the patience he had to spend hours dragging us kids around the creek behind the flat bottom. He was a guy who could fix anything and was always happy to help out his neighbors. His memory will be with us all for a long long time.

I was a skinny 13 year old (55 years ago...OMG) when I first met Buddy . My sister Joan and husband Al brought me to this wondrous place called the "CREEK" one weekend and said Buddy would teach me how to water ski.
I remember vividly it was a cool summer morning and when Buddy started up the boat I wondered if he was going to teach me to fly ... Instead of ski !!!
He got me lined up to take off and I got almost 10' , after a few words of encouragement I finally lifted off. However I do Believe the water level at the creek went down around 2 inches most of it down my throat.
It was a great experience and because of his kind words of encouragement I spent many years enjoying waterskiing at the CREEK !!!
Buddy and the rest of the Coulter's are just like family and he will truly be missed.
