George Buckner Brown's Obituary
George Buckner Brown, 68, of Woodford passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Fredericksburg Health and Rehab. He was dearly loved and cherished by all who knew him, including friends and family.
George was a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness and he regularly attended congregation meetings with his family and had a strong love for spiritual activities. He enjoyed listening to all of the J.W. original songs and watching the videos in his free time on the JW.org website.
He liked spending time collecting and repairing watches, listening to music, and watching his favorite show, “In the Heat of the Night”. George also enjoyed cooking; some of his favorite foods were fish & chips and hot dogs; he was sometimes called the “hot dog king”.
George was affectionately known as GB, Isaac, BB, Uncle George, and Beeps, by his friends and family.
George was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Annie Brown; three brothers: Herman Coleman, Henry Brown and Charlie Brown; and one sister: Deloris LeVere.
He is survived by his sisters, Alice Brown, Juanita Brown, Mary Wright, Rose Thrower (Tyrone), and Julia Logan (Ronald); and his closest niece, Adrianna Patterson; as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless spiritual family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday November 22, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A repast will immediately follow the service at the Chancellor Community Center, 7300 Old Plank Road, Fredericksburg.
