Geniene Burris' Obituary
Geniene Burris, 84, of Culpeper died Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Our Father’s House Christian Home. She was born July 26, 1935 to the late Floyd Lester and Marjorie Lassen Ames in California.
Geniene was a member of Grace Baptist Church for over 40 years in Yuba, CA. She was very well known for her generous spirit and caring nature.
She is survived by her children, Craig Burris and wife, Michelle of Culpeper, and Tanya Brooking and her husband, Richard of Culpeper; her grandchildren, Emily Geary and husband, Wayne of HI, Sam Burris and his wife, Kaitlyn of Culpeper, Lila Bender and her husband, Winston of Culpeper, Claire Burris of Culpeper, Jesse Burris of Culpeper, and Will Burris of Culpeper; and six great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Herman Gary Burris; and her siblings, Vonnie Humbird and Frank Ames, Sr.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Pastor Tom Friedrichs officiating.
Interment will be private.
