Geneva George's Obituary
Geneva Abbott George, 82, of Culpeper died on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on July 30, 1925 in Weems, VA to the late James Thomas Abbott and Mary Blake Abbott.
Mrs. George was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She loved gardening her flowers, crocheting beautiful Afghans, designing quilts, being a caregiver to others, and being with her family.
She is survived by her children, Joan George Lohr of Madison, Arlene George Umberger and her husband, Jerry of Elkwood, Darlene George Barron and her husband, Tommy of Culpeper, Debra Jean George of Orange, and Gordon Douglas George III of Radiant.
Additional survivors include her grandchildren, Gregory Martin Lohr, Amy Arlene Umberger, Jason Wayne Umberger, George Bradford Lohr, and Timothy Andrew Barron and great grandchildren, Brandon Lohr, Samantha Lohr, Bristen Bowman Umberger and Andrew Patrick Barron.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Gordon George siblings, Ruth Dameron, Violet Kellum, Jeanette Kellum, Luther Abbott, Vernon Abbott, Marvin Abbott and Otis Abbott and her son-in-law, Eddy P. Lohr.
