Geneva Kibler Fincham's Obituary
Geneva Kibler Fincham, 91, of Culpeper, Virginia died on Sept. 27, 2013, at the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community. She was born in Rappahannock County to the late Andrew J. and Ollie Kilby Kibler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.E. Fincham, Jr. and her sisters, Rena Kibler Bailey and spouse, Leo A. Bailey, Rosalie Boyd Bixler and her brother, Andrew Jackson Kibler, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Fincham Castellana and spouse, Charles (Chuck) of Alexandria, two sisters, Marie Kibler Painter of Bealeton and Joan Kibler Cascadden and spouse, Blynn of Culpeper and one brother, James G. Kibler and spouse, Patricia of Culpeper, brother-in-law, Dr. William Bixler, of New Holland, Pennsylvania and sister-in-law, Lorraine Kibler Becker and spouse, Milton of Fredericksburg, Virginia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker, worked with her husband in their family owned business, a buyer for Johnson’s Fabric Store in Culpeper, and in her later years worked at CCA in Boston, Virginia.
She was a lifelong member of New Salem Baptist Church where she served in various capacities including Sunday school teacher, pianist, and choir member.
A celebration of Geneva’s life will be held at New Salem Baptist Church, 8233 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia, at 11 o’clock on Friday, October 4, 2013, with Pastor Michael Dodson, officiating. There will be a visitation at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that expressions of sympathy be made to New Salem Baptist Church, 8233 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia 22701.
