Mrs. Reddington, What can I say about the most amazing teacher ever. She was more than a teacher, she was a friend, and a confidant. She literally saved me by noticing something was amiss with me and reaching out to see if I was ok. She was the reason adversity didn't get the best of me. I will always be grateful to her for saving me.

She was my Spanish teacher at Royal and her classroom was a gathering place for more than just her students. We would hang out there to talk about the game; she was always so nervous on game days. We would tell her, "Don't worry, the A-Train has the best line in Ventura County blocking for him." and no matter what we talked about, some how a comment was always made about Mrs. Reddington's vertical challenges.
Watching her cover her eyes when Mike carried the ball was the best. I'm sure her eyes are wide open now, watching over her loved ones.

Mrs. Reddington, you have always been missed and now, you will forever be missed.

Mrs. Reddington was my favorite teacher of all time. We met my freshman year in high school. I was painfully shy and didn’t know anyone where I just moved to the area. We formed an instant bond and she played a big part in breaking me out of my shell. She always looked after me more than anyone could hope for a teacher to do, whether it was staying after to help me with school work or just talking to me and making sure I was making friends and transitioning well to the new school. She taught me for three years straight and even when I didn’t have her my senior year I made sure to stop by her room everyday to catch up and share some laughs. Years after I graduated and was home from college I was walking with friends to a neighborhood basketball court. As we were walking I heard a car slam on their brakes behind me and someone shouting my name. Mrs. Reddington parked her car in the middle of the street and ran and gave me a big hug. We talked for several minutes as other cars had to drive around us and her car which we laughed about. It made my day to see her again and wish I had the pleasure to see her one more time. I loved Mrs. Reddington and will always remember her infectious laugh and bubbly personality. I know that she adored her children and grandchildren and although I’ve never met them I’m sure they felt the same. I am praying for them and anyone else who was also touched by this amazing woman.

Gayle was a great friend and fellow teacher at Massaponax HS. Rebecca and I had many great conversations about teaching and just about everything else. We were lucky to have her teach our sons Eric and Travis Spanish. They loved her class and loved her. Gayle’s warmth and friendliness endeared her to our entire family.

Gayle always made me smile. She was beautiful on outside and inside. I got to know her more recently and she was such a good soul. She is now with her soul mate. I know she is smiling when she saw him. I am so sorry for your loss.
