Gayle Susan Henderson's Obituary
Gayle Susan Henderson, 76, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, formerly of Springfield, Virginia passed away on February 4, 2020, from complications of cancer.
Born in Minnesota, and a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Gayle had a late-in-life career as a computer programmer. She last worked for BB&T Bank, from which she retired. Proud of the Norwegian heritage, she would sometimes recite a favorite poem in Norwegian. Gayle also had many tales to tell of the places where she had lived and visited around the world.
Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, Esther and Burnett Hollen; and her sister, Jean.
She is survived by her husband, Nelson; daughters, Elisabeth Dowd and Margot Michaud; stepdaughter, Andrea O’Hara; stepson, Russell Henderson; and one grandchild, Barbara Henderson.
