Gary Michael Walker Sr.'s Obituary
Gary (Mike) Walker, Sr., 59 of Spotsylvania County, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013 at VCU Medical Center.
Mike, as he was known to all his family and friends enjoyed a love for cars and especially classic muscle cars. Mike is best known for being a family man. His greatest love was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Mike leaves behind a daughter, Michele Walker and her fiancé, Michael; two sons, Gary M. Walker, Jr. and his fiancée, Elizabeth, and Thomas R. Walker and his wife, Linda, all of Spotsylvania; six grandchildren, Daisha, Kayla, Serenity, Cadence, Thomas, and Wilhelmina; a sister, Nelda A. Lozano of Stafford County; three brothers, James M. Walker of Alabama, Hobart G. Walker, Jr. of Stafford, and Donald E. Walker of Spotsylvania, as well as a host of other family members and friends.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Hobart G. Walker and Lorna D. Walker as well as three sisters and six brothers.
Mike’s family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 pm Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 29, 2013 at the funeral home with the Rev. Mike Hirsch officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Mike’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in his name to The American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
