Gary Thomas Roland's Obituary
Gary Thomas Roland, 70, of Spotsylvania County passed away Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Gary is survived by three sons, Tommy Roland and his wife, Janna, of Spotsylvania, Steven Roland of Winchester and Lee Roland of Chicago; his son-in-law, Mike Jones of Poquoson; four step-daughters, Joanne Lee and her husband, Danny, of Spotsylvania, Vicki Sapp and Robin White and her husband, George, all of Stafford, and Nancy Kramer and her husband, Mark, of Woodbridge; sister Pat Wylds of North Augusta, S.C.; brother Walter Saffell of Manteo, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his daughter Theresa Jones; and his sister Mary Ann.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel- Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, with Pastor Ben Thomas officiating. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in Gary's name to Mary Washington Home Health and Hospice, 5012 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg, Va. 22407.
