Gary was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School in Trumbull, CT and attended Virginia Tech. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved the fresh air and open spaces of Rappahannock County. He worked for Eldon Farms as a carpenter and ranch hand. He would rather hunt, fish, and round up cattle than sit in an office. He taught all of his children and several in his family the finer points of target shooting and reloading bullets. He was an excellent marksman and was known to travel far and wide to find the perfect custom rifle. In his younger days, he was a competitive motor cross rider and always loved a fast bike.
His family wishes to thank those who helped and supported him during his four year journey with cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made for the education of the Kopjanski Children. Checks would be made out to Melanie Kopjanski and mailed to 139 W. Davis St. Suite 300, Culpeper, VA 22701.
The family will have visitation on Friday, October 19, 2012 from
6:00-8:00 at Found and Sons Funeral Home on Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A private family internment service will be held at a later date.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is handling the arrangements.
