Gary Edward Graninger Sr.'s Obituary
Gary Edward Graninger Sr., 60, of Spotsylvania County, passed away peacefully at Mary Washington Hospital on Friday, October 4, 2013.
Gary was best known for his avid love of hunting and fishing, and never missed an opportunity to spend time enjoying these outdoor adventures. The only thing in life that gave him greater pleasure was spending time with his loving family, and working on cars. Gary is also remembered as a great mechanic. Being a mechanic was another passion of Gary’s. He worked in the field for many years and anyone that ever had a question about a car, knew they could always count on Gary to fix any problem they had.
Gary leaves behind three sons, Bryon Graninger, of Stafford County, and Gary Graninger, Jr., and Michael Graninger, both of Spotsylvania; three daughters, Kari Iglesias and her husband, Brad, Tabitha Graninger, and Crystal Graninger and her fiancé, Seth, and a grandson, Tyson, all of Spotsylvania.
He also leaves behind two brothers, George Graninger and his partner, Jane, and John Graninger and his wife, Shirley; two sisters, Susan Henderson and her husband, Roger, and Gloria Bull; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and close friends.
There will be a memorial gathering to celebrate Gary’s life at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA.
In lieu of flowers, Gary’s family requests that donations be made in Gary’s name to the Wildlife Foundation of Virginia at http://vawildlife.org/donations.html.
