There are so many fond memories of Gary and Marlene from the years we lived in the Amissville area. The Christmas plays at church, the bible studies, the assorted church related activities, and of course Gary's piano playing was wonderful. He will be missed yet always remembered for his kindness, his generosity, and his faith.

Years ago, we would cook for a church luncheon, which was hosted on the Dickey’s property. We needed to start cooking in the middle of the night because of the amount of beef needed. Gary would come out, coffee mug in hand, at 6 a.m. to watch the sun rise with us. We would have a pot of coffee ready and waiting for him and we would share a breakfast of steak and eggs cooked over the fire. We had a grand time telling stories and laughing. Gary had a great laugh. It will always be one of my favorite memories of him. God bless you Gary; for just that small event you made my life richer.
JB and I were reminiscing about the Bible Study, Gary's sense of humor, his special laugh and the way he lifted his hand and curled his index finger when he laughed. Great memories of Gary and the family. Love Always, JB and Sharon
