Garland Delano Sullivan's Obituary
Garland Delano Sullivan, 75, of Caroline County, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Kindred Hospital.
He was the owner of Sullivan’s Plumbing.
Garland is survived by a son, G. Glenn Sullivan and his wife, Victoria of Caroline; three step-daughters, Jean M. Braxton of Spotsylvania County, Linda Stanley and her husband, James of Bowling Green and Nancy Williams and her husband, Roger of Spotsylvania; a stepson, Justin Williams and his wife, Angie of Spotsylvania; two sisters, Mary M. Newton and her husband, Jessie and Peggy A. Firlan, all of Stafford County; two brothers, Robert P. Sullivan and his wife, Jeanie and Frank P. Sullivan and his wife, Betty, all of Stafford; two grandsons, Stephen G. Sullivan of Caroline and Christopher Holman of Glen Allen; three granddaughters, Lauren C. Sullivan of Texas, and Sarah Carlysle and Lauren Holman, both of Caroline; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roxie and Frank Sullivan, Sr.; his life partner, Sheila Paschal; his sisters, Barbara and Neda; and his brothers, Everett, Tommy and Frank, Jr.
Garland’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2012 at Bethany Baptist Church, 6519 Marye Road, Woodford, with Pastor Ben Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Garland’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, c/o Trudy Clifton, 113 Tall Pines Avenue, Locust Grove, VA 22508.
