Gabe Lyndell Frye's Obituary
Gabe Lyndell Frye, 26, of Boston, Virginia, passed away on December 10, 2025. Gabe was known for his big heart, adventurous spirit, and the way he brought energy into every moment of life.
From the time he was young, Gabe loved anything with wheels and a motor. Riding dirt bikes and four-wheelers was not just a hobby for him—it was where he felt free, alive, and completely himself. When he was not out on the trails, he could often be found under the hood of a truck, turning wrenches, learning, fixing, and creating.
In high school, Gabe was a dedicated athlete who played both football and soccer. He was a tough competitor with a strong work ethic, and he formed friendships on and off the field that lasted throughout his life.
Gabe will be remembered for his loyalty, his humor, and the kindness he showed to the people he cared about. His presence brought joy, and his absence leaves an ache that words cannot fully describe. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but will remain forever in our hearts.
Gabe is survived by parents; Aubrey and Nancy Frye; brother; Luke Frye; paternal grandfather, Rev. Howard Frye; aunts and uncles; Dennis Morris (Monica), Sharon Harmon (Hobart), Beverly Grant (Kevin), David Morris (LeAnne) and Dale Frye; great aunts, Kesley Russell, Gert Taylor, Thelma Russell; his girlfriend; Emma Wilson; and his best friends, Cameron Mayes, Adam Mifsud, Alyjah Torres, and Dallin Losee; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jasper “Gabe” Morris and Arbutus Morris; and paternal grandmother, Mary Frye.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 6131 Sperryville Pike, Boston, VA 22713.
A graveside service will follow at The Russell Family Cemetery, Shootz Hollow Road, Huntley, VA, with Pastor Steve Harrelson and Rev. Howard Frye officiating.
Pallbearers serving the family will be Dallin Losee, Cameron Mayes, Adam Mifsud, Alyjah Torres, Eric Grant, Paul Harmon, Mark Harmon, and Daniel Harmon.
