Frederick Walter Brandt's Obituary
Frederick Walter Brandt, 79, of Culpeper died Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. He was born on July 26, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Fred Brandt and Helen Walters Brandt.
Mr. Brandt was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Doris Larson Brandt, his children, Barbara Brandt of Pinner, England, Frederick L. Brandt of Richmond, VA and Elizabeth Berry and her husband, Matthew of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include his grandson, Frederick Berry of Culpeper, one sister, Joan Clayton of NY and one brother, Gerald Brandt of IL.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Brandt and his sister, Helen Nobile.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 11 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 1200 Old Rixeyville Rd. Culpeper, VA 22701, with Pastor Angela Jennings officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery with honors provided by the American Legion Post 330 and VFW Post 2524.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Culpeper Rescue Squad, 1121 N Main St. Culpeper, VA 22701 and/or the Richardsville Rescue Squad, Lignum, VA 22726.
