Frederick Lewis Furr's Obituary
Frederick Lewis Furr, 55 of Gordonsville, VA died Wednesday October 29, 2008 at his residence. He was born December 12, 1952 in Warrenton, VA to the late Willie Ashby Furr, Sr. and Mildred Fay Furr.
Mr. Furr was a member of Novum Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing the French harp, hunting, fishing, was an avid coin collector and also collected marbles and baseball cards. He loved to work in his flower garden, growing many admirable flowers.
He is survived by his brothers, Jimmie Woodward of Rixeyville, Willie Furr, Jr. of Owings, MD, Charles A. (Chuck) Furr of Gordonsville, his sisters Fleda Pugliese of Penn Laird and Sharon Ortiz of Culpeper.
He is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews, Sylvia Yancey, Tammy Buttner, Tonya Furr, Jimmie Woodward, Jr, Angelo and A. Romeo Pugliese.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 2, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bruce Fincham officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
