Frederick "Freddie" Jenkins' Obituary
Frederick “Freddie” Handle Jenkins, Jr., 50, of Culpeper passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at his residence. He was born February 17, 1963 in Warren County to Carrie Virginia Smoot and the late Frederick Handle Jenkins, Sr.
Freddie was an avid CB radio enthusiast and using the handle Wrangler he would open every morning with his best known catchphrase “Chop Chop Chop”. Every year he attended the annual picnic at Mountain Run Lake with his fellow CB radio enthusiast. Freddie had a great passion for guns and was a member of the NRA. He was a retired dump truck driver, a member and former commander of Sons of the American Legion Post 330 and occasionally would DJ for various events. He was an avid sportsman and hunter and enjoyed anything having to do with sports and the outdoors. Freddie will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Cecil Allen “Buck” Harris, and numerous extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 1 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, with Rev. Sandy Martin and Pastor Russell Biber officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
