Franklin Campbell Hitt's Obituary
Franklin Campbell Hitt, 52, of Boston, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2007 at his residence. He was born on June 30, 1955, in Fauquier, VA to Campbell “Buster” Hitt and Maryanna Jenkins Hitt of Woodville.
Frank was a devoted member of Woodville Baptist Church which he loved very much. He enjoyed tending to his lawn on his new mower. He was a real people person who enjoyed lifting the spirits of all. He took great pleasure in his phone ministry, where he would call those in need and shed light to those that were ill.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of twenty two years, Sandra Hudson Hitt, his brother Winfrey Warren Hitt of Boston, VA, his sister-in-law, Mary Smith and her husband, Terry of Winchester, VA, his faithful companion, Sparky and numerous, aunts, uncles, family and friends.
The family will receive friends on, Tuesday, August 7, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Woodville Baptist Church, 4629 Sperryville Pike, Woodville, VA 22749.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Woodville Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Welch, Rev. Alpheus Atkins and Rev. John Burke officiating.
Interment will follow in Woodville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Alex Butler, Douglas Butler, Kevin Butler, Richard Wayland, Bobby Dennis, and Terry Smith. Honorary Pallbearers, James Burke, Barry Ferguson, and D. Lee Hitt.
Memorial contribution may be made in Frank’s name to Woodville Baptist Church, 4629 Sperryville Pike, Woodville, VA 22749.
