Franklin Arnold Thomas Sr.'s Obituary
Franklin Arnold Thomas, Sr., 68, of Spotsylvania County passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010 at his home.
He was born in Roxboro, North Carolina to the late Virgil and Sallie Thomas.
Franklin was a member of Fredericksburg United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sandra Thomas; his children, Franklin Thomas, Jr. and Brigette Bardeaux, and Toni Marie Thomas and Ronald Wolfrey, Jr., all of Spotsylvania County; his grandchildren, Abby Thomas, Mary Ann Wolfrey, Michael Wolfrey and Ronald L. Wolfrey; his brother, Carl and Loretta Thomas of West Virginia and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Franklin’s family will receive friends Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 9, 2010 at 11:00am at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nancy Compher officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers Franklin’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Spotsylvania Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 101, Spotsylvania, VA 22553.
