Frank Ray Frazier Jr.'s Obituary
Frank Ray Frazier, Jr. went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at his home in Boston surrounded by his family. He was born on Monday, June 29, 1942 in Boston, VA to the late Frank Ray Frazier, Sr. and Lizzie Cora Dodson Frazier.
He gave his life to the Lord on Sunday, October 1, 1978 and was a member of Thorntons Gap Regular Baptist Church. He was a lifelong farmer, logger and mechanic; talents which were passed on to his sons. One would say he was a jack of all trades.
Ray, Jr. is survived by his wife, Phyliss of 47 years; his daughter, Michele Williams and her husband, Stan of Tappahannock; sons, Michael Frazier of Culpeper, Christopher Frazier and his wife, Ashley and their daughter, VenissaLyn, his beloved granddaughter, of Castleton.
He is also survived by one brother, Shelvy Frazier and his wife, Montrue; sisters-in-law, Esther Frazier and Linda Weakley (Gary Meadows); nieces, Brenda Frazier, Patti Doty (Doug); nephews, John Lillis, James Frazier (Diane), Kenny Leavel and Dave Weakley; and numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Holtzman, Harold and Clustus Frazier; four sisters, Marie F. Atkins, Agnes P. Holdren, and twin infant girls; a niece, Janet F. Peregory; and two nephews, Mike Lillis and Clarence Frazier.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 21, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 2 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roger Smith officiating, followed by graveside at Sperryville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Lillis, James Frazier, Preston L. Hawkins, Gary Meadows, William “Bo” Cole, Steve Butler, Paul Compton and George Ellis. Honorary pallbearers will be Harvey Tharp, Curtis Weaver, James M. Hill, Robert “Bo” Hitt, Jerry Cubbage, Andrew Heneghan, Ronnie Guynn and Jim Acker.
