Francis X. Frank Brown's Obituary
Francis X. “Frank” Brown, 89, of Culpeper died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born March 14, 1920 in New York City, NY to the late Charles and Lillian Wainwright Brown.
Mr. Brown was a member of the Artist of Windmore and also the Knights of Columbus. He was a noted painter, frequently exhibiting in and around Culpeper. He was also an avid bird watcher and golfer.
He is survived by his son, Stephen H. Brown and his fiancé, Maryam Sabbaghian, his granddaughter, Rebecca Brown, his niece, Gail Brewer, and his nephew, David Tompkins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Elizabeth Brown, and his siblings, Doris Tompkins, Eileen Brown, Richard Brown and Robert Brown.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 22, 2009 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 114 E. Edmondson St., Culpeper with Father Leo Zonneveld officiating.
Interment will follow in Criglersville Cemetery.
