Francis Forest Fowler Jr.'s Obituary
Francis Forest Fowler Jr., 89, of Fredericksburg passed away Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Woodmont Center.
Francis served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He worked for the state of Massachusetts as a surveyor for 35 years, retiring in 1962.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ellen E. Fowler; a son, Robert A. Fowler and his wife, Edith, of Washington state; and a daughter, Mary Ellen of Canada.
Francis was preceded in death by his son, John.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, in Quantico National Cemetery.
