MIKE WAS HER HERO, JOAN WAS HIS SALT OF THE EARTH.
IN LOVING FRIENDSHIP,

Mike was one of the most "upbeat", honest, "tell it like it is" people I have ever known. He was a credit to the profession and truly a role model for many of us 'younger' members of the faculty at Wantagh. The world is a better place for his having been here. It was a privilege to have known him..
Joan and family, I am so sorry about Mike. There was nobody like him as well you know. I can't believe he's gone and for those of us who knew him, our lives will never be the same. Rest in Peace Francis Michael Byrnes. I will miss you.
We have lost a kind and good man. Always full of charm and wit, I remember the laughter he shared with many friends at the coffee shop at the antique mall. His laugh was always the loudest. We are listening for the angels' laughter, because I am sure he is there right now telling a story. Joan, you have our deepest sympathy. We love you and are holding you and your family in our hearts.

Mr. Byrnes was always fun to deal with! We will miss him. My prayers go out to his family.

Mr. Byrnes was one of my favorite customers at the bank. Whenever he came in, he would always stop by my office and sit and tell stories. I loved it. Last year on one of his visits, I was joking around about being cold natured and my feet always being cold. I went on vacation during Christmas time. When I came back, there was a gift on my desk. Inside was a pair of the thickest socks I have ever had. I was so surprised and touched that he did that. I wear them at night. But he was a very special person and he will be dearly missed. Mrs. Byrnes, you and your family have my deepest sympathy. Have comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.

Coach Byrnes had a strong influence on me that still rings to this day. I always remember him yelling at me when I'd be running, "All the way through, all the way through." To this day I still hear those words ring in my head when I'm pushing myself when I'm running or just trying to get through life's difficulties. Thank you coach Byrnes, God rest our sole. My condolences the Byrnes family.
