Francis Donald Bruce's Obituary
Francis Donald Bruce, 91, of Lake Anna passed away Friday, January 1, 2016 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.
Don loved college football especially Penn State University. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Don is survived by his children, Donna Lac (Tony) of Mineral, Chris Bruce (Donna) of Herndon, Peggy Koenig (Niel) of Spotsylvania County, and Steve Bruce (Nancy) of Altoona, PA; brother, Daniel Bruce (Judy) of California; sister, Floretta Gionfriddo (Leo) of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends in Pennsylvania and Florida.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Farren Bruce.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel-Cremation Service, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
In lieu of flowers, Don’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2217 Princess Anne Street #106-1F, Fredericksburg, VA22401.
