Frances Estelle Doggett Hitt's Obituary
Frances Estelle Doggett Hitt, 88, of Culpeper died on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at her residence. She was born August 16, 1919 to the late Wishard Thomas Doggett and Lillie Estette Tapp.
She is survived by three daughters, Ruby Martin of Culpeper, Dorothy Dodd of Richmond, and Thelma Hitt of Culpeper, and one son, Charles “Buck” Hitt of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include six grandchildren, William Martin, Jr., Patricia Harlow, Steven Dodd, Susan O’Keefe, Brian Hitt and Chris Hitt, and seven great grandchildren, Trey Martin, Amberly Harlow, Brianna Harlow, Jackson Dodd, Zander Dodd, Conner O’Keefe and Dillon O’Keefe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Blufford Hitt.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Tim Atkins and Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
