Frances McClary Prosser's Obituary
Mrs. Frances McClary Prosser, 78, wife of Bruce Prosser and a resident of Melfa, VA formerly of Pahokee, FL, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012.
Born December 17, 1933 in Rapidan, VA, she was a daughter of the late Haywood McClary and Beatrice Duncan McClary. Mrs. Prosser was a secretary in a truck brokering business, which she and her husband operated. She was a United Methodist, and enjoyed crossword puzzles and cross-stitching.
In addition to her husband, survivors include three daughters, Deborah Lawhorne of Hemet, CA, Cynthia Iobst of Craddockville, VA, and Melinda Turlington of Painter, VA; two sisters, Jean Stephenson of Newport News, VA, and Grace O'Connell of Richmond, VA; a brother, George McClary of Richmond; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and their families. Other than her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Anne McClary and Betty Geist.
Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of Found and Sons Funeral Home in Culpeper, VA on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper. There will be a visitation at the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 5 until 7 PM, at at Found and Sons Funeral Home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, #20 Koger Center, Suite 233, Norfolk, VA 23502.
