Frances Alice Norris' Obituary
Frances Alice Norris, 91, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022 in the comfort of her residence surrounded by loved ones at Harmony at Falls Run in Fredericksburg, VA. She was born April 6, 1931 to the late Leon Raymond Corbin, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Jenkins Corbin in Culpeper County, VA.
Frances was a graduate of Culpeper High School. She was a homemaker and a country girl at heart. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and preserving her fruits and vegetables. Frances loved her family and spending time with them.
She is survived by her sons, Harlan Wayne Norris and his wife, Barbara of Fredericksburg, VA and Leon Carroll Norris and his wife, Bonnie of Falling Water, WV; three granddaughters, Samantha Brooks (John), Kristin DeSolis (Dan) and Jennifer Wood; two grandsons, Leon Carroll Norris, Jr. and Christopher Norris; 6 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Hankins Johnson (Carlton, deceased), Shirley Coppage and Kay Velez (Felix); one brother, Kyle Corbin (Mary Jane); and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her husband, John Randolph Norris, Sr.; son, John Randolph Norris, Jr. and his wife, Linda Norris; two sisters, Margaret Brenner and Elgie Taylor and one brother, Leon Raymond Corbin, Jr.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 11am at Culpeper National Cemetery, Old Grounds, 305 U.S. Avenue, Culpeper, VA 22701 with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
