Frances Hayden McWhirt's Obituary
Frances H. McWhirt, 96, of Fredericksburg, was reunited with her husband in heaven on Monday, November 12, 2018. She passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side.
Frances and her husband were the original owners of Mac’s Heating and Air Conditioning Inc., where she served as the company’s secretary. She loved the outdoors, including planting flowers and mowing the lawn. Frances was also a talented seamstress and a loving mother and grandmother.
Frances is survived by her children, Vencent S. McWhirt, and his wife, Joyce, and Gertrude “Trudi” Grab, and her husband, Jim; a brother, Edward “Bop” Hayden, and his wife, Virginia May; three grandchildren, Vicki, Craig, and Scott; seven great-grandchildren, Holton, Jessica, Hayden, Gavin, Gabbie, Ryan, and Lauryn; a number of nieces and nephews; and other loving extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Jesse P. McWhirt, Jr.; two brothers, Cecil and Allen Hayden; a sister, Marion Stroup; and a grandson, Gavin Knight.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Rd, Fredericksburg, where a funeral service will start at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
