Frances E. Leavell's Obituary
Frances Elizabeth Leavell, 78, of Culpeper died Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 6, 1931 in Culpeper to the late Luther and Neda Pearl Dodson Jones.
Mrs. Leavell enjoyed needlepoint, gardening, spending time outdoors and visiting friends.
She is survived by her children, Samuel Ray Leavell, Stuart William Leavell, Steve Edward Leavell, all of Culpeper, Shirley E. Settle of Rixeyville, and Sheila A. Leavell of Culpeper, her companion, Harry L. Turner, one brother, Roger Dwayne Jones of Madison, fifteen grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Edward Leavell, her daughter, Sharon G. Woodward, two sisters, Margaret Arnold and Evelyn King and two grandchildren, Tommy Coffey and Regina Carol Morris.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 22, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Dodson officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Leavell, K.R. Woodward, Jr., Buck Leavell, Rodney Leavell, Shannon Arnold and Earl Mesimer.
