Frances Lorraine Keyser Leake's Obituary
Frances Lorraine Keyser Leake, 82, of Culpeper died Friday, December 13, 2019 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 19, 1937 to the late Boyd and Bessie Pullin Keyser.
Frances worked for the Culpeper County School System in the middle school cafeteria for 37 years. She is a longtime member of Culpeper Assembly of God Church, taught Sunday school, and loved her church family. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and canning for her family. She was also well known for her yeast roll recipe. Frances lived for her grandchildren and the love they shared.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Billy Leake, Sr.; three children, Billy R. Leake, Jr. (Doreen), Tammy Powers (James), and Burgess Leake; two sisters, Ruth Mozingo and Alta Menefee; five brothers, David Keyser (Karla), Harry Keyser, Roger Keyser, Robert Keyser (Corinda), and Ronnie Keyser (Cindy); four grandchildren, Donald Caudill, Jr. (Christina), and Crystal Caudill (Wayne); Billy Leake, III (Carolyn), Angela Oakes (Matt); nine great grandchildren, Craig Southard, Jr. (Brittany), Wayne Ryder, Jr., Hunter Ryder, Bradley Caudill, Zachary Caudill, Lily Karpinski, Ella Mae Oakes, Kenna Marie Oakes, and Callie Leake. Frances is also survived by a host of additional family members.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one great grandson, Murphy William Leake, and 10 siblings; Gladys Backe, Emma Lillard, Alize Berry, Betty Brightwell, Haywood Keyser, Mary Keyser, Tucker Keyser, William Keyser, Charles Keyser, and Genevieve “Gina” Edwards.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 11:00 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Dodson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Burgess Leake, Donald Caudill, Jr., Craig Southard, Jr., Wayne Ryder, Jr., Hunter Ryder, and Wayne Ryder, Sr.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memory Garden, 4160 Rixeyville Road, Jeffersonton, VA 22724.
