Frances Anne Gore's Obituary
Frances Anne "Nanny" Gore of Culpeper completed the earthly part of her journey on May 21, 2013, surrounded by her family at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. William B. Gaines. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Albert Garland Gore and her best friend and sister, Margaret Inskeep.
Those she leaves behind to miss her and lovingly remember her are her son, Robert Garland Gore and his wife Paulette; granddaughters Melissa D. Hankins and husband Hal, Jennifer Jones, and great-grandchildren Jozlyn Michel Jones and Jaden Garland Gore.
She is also survived by her brother, Bernard Gaines and wife Connie of Richmond and their son, Jeffrey Gaines of Arlington and nieces, Ellen Jones, Jeanine Judd, Gloria Long and nephew James Inskeep, Jr., all of Culpeper.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 23, 2013, from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 11am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper.
Interment will follow at the Culpeper National Cemetery.
The family expresses their thanks to Kim Bishop and Charlotte Miller and the many other nurses of the Laurels for their sincere love and kindness shown to her over the last 3 years.
The family also expresses a special thanks to Kevin Hooper who gave Nanny the gift of living in her own home for an additional few years as the fog of dementia began to take its toll.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, 1160 Pepsi Place, Suite 306, Charlottesville, Virginia 22901.
