Frances Brumley Comstock's Obituary
Frances Brumley Comstock, 93, of Fredericksburg passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Fredericksburg Health & Rehab.
Frances was an avid reader, and enjoyed her book club and doing crossword puzzles. She loved bowling in her younger years and playing rummy, cooking and baking.
Frances is survived by two sons, Carl “Kenny” Herndon and John “Jack” Edward Hilldrup, of Spotsylvania County; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Vera Brumley; a son, Caryle Eugene Herndon; her sister, Isakate Brumley McCarty; and her brother, Eugene Clifton Brumley, Jr.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2017 in Zoan Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Rappahannock Area Agency on Aging, 460 Lendall Lane, Fredericksburg, VA 22405 or the Mary Washington Hospice, 2300 Fall Hill Ave, Suite 401, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
