Frances Elizabeth Brown's Obituary
Frances Elizabeth Brown, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on August 16, 2025. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family and all who knew her.
Frances was born on February 19, 1963, and throughout her life she touched the hearts of many with her kindness, love, and dedication to family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Henry A. Brown; her son, Reginald N. Nelson; and her treasured grandchildren, Reniqua Walker, Shanique Walker, and Dylan Darden. She also leaves behind her devoted mother, Hazel Nelson.
Frances is also survived by her siblings, Felissa Brown, Annette and Carl Ward, Melvina Nelson, Ernestine and Leon Harris, Paul Williams, Crystal Madden, Bobby Madden, and Makeba Carter; as well as her uncle, Frankie Nelson.
Through her marriage, she also gained a loving extended family. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Lorraine Smith and Darlene White; and brothers-in-law, David F. Brown and Thomas Dean Brown.
She will also be remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who loved her dearly.
Frances was preceded in death by her father, Robert Nelson; her brother, Robert Nelson Jr.; her sister, Andrea Nelson; and her mother-in-law, Mamie Brown.
Frances’ legacy of love and strength will continue to live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
