Forrest "Boe" Minter's Obituary
Forrest R. “Boe” Minter, 78, of Dogue, Va. Went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Mary Washington Hospital. He was born August 11, 1943 to the late Bazil and Theresa Minter in Dogue, Va.
He retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). In his free time, he loved to be outdoors – hunting, fishing or golfing with his buddies. Forrest also loved to watch NASCAR and the Washington Redskins.
Forrest is survived by his daughter, Dawn and son-in-law, Jake Harmon of Colonial Beach, Va; his brother, Joseph S. Minter and sister-in-law, Carol; his two sisters, Dorothy L. Prince and Doris A. Walters and brother-in-law, Ronald; six grandchildren, Michael, Nathan, Paige, Jesse, Will and Cheyenne; and multiple other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Eva Prince Minter; and his siblings, Bazil A. Minter, Jr., Bobby N. Minter, James E. Minter, William R. Minter and Margaret E. Rawlette.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the ICU staff at Mary Washington Hospital and the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care of King George for their dedication and care of Forrest.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Montague Baptist Church, 12186 Millbank Rd., King George. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to the building fund at Montague Baptist Church, 12186 Millbank Rd., King George Va 22485.
