Floyd Frye Sr.'s Obituary
Floyd Frye, Sr., 83, of Fredericksburg passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Mary Washington Hospital.
He was born and raised in Springfield, Va. Floyd served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a successful businessman who owned and operated F.C. Frye Trash Service for 35 years.
Floyd is survived by his children, Floyd C. “J.R.” Frye, Jr. and his wife, Lori, and Vicki Hall and her husband, Ed, five grandchildren, Angie, Floyd III, Amy Jo, Andy, and Leah, eight great-grandchildren, two sisters, two brothers, his dog Bussie, and other loving extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary; and a sister, Helen.
Floyd’s family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Rd, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 19, 2017 at White Oak Ministries, 299 White Oak Rd, Fredericksburg. Burial will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in his name be made to White Oak Ministries, 299 White Oak Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22405.
